Jawjacker Flag Attachment
Jawjacker Flag Attachment
The JawJacker Flag Attachment allows fish to take the bait and run with it. It is extremely effective when using live minnows and big dead baits. When a fish takes the bait the flag pops up and releases the line so the fish can free spool line off the reel. Then the fisherman can grab the rod and set the hook. The Flag Attachment basically turns the JawJacker into a tip up with a highly sensitive adjustable trigger. Now you can use large live minnows and small fish for bait and not worry about them tripping the flag. You can simply increase the JawJackers trigger tension by turning the wing nut on the end of the trigger so that your bait won’t set off the flag but a large fish grabbing the bait will. The Flag Attachment easily attaches to the JawJacker by inserting the end of the spring into the small hole between the #1 and #2 holes in the JawJackers trigger slide and twisting it into the hole until it stops. The Flag Attachment will attach to any JawJacker ever produced. When the flag pops up it makes a pretty good rattling noise that helps alarm the fisherman that a fish has taken the bait. You can also attach a bell to the flag if you want. Just make sure it won’t get wrapped up in the line when the flag pops up. I like to use a foam hole cover with the JawJacker and Flag Attachment when I am fishing in really cold weather or if I leave the JawJacker with the Flag Attachment out over night. Monofilament line will slide easily through up to about 1/4″ of ice so during the day in normal ice fishing conditions I just clean my hole out every now and again and don’t worry about using a foam hole cover.
